Coaching FAQ
What is your coaching style?
My coaching is collaborative, strengths-based, and practical. I work as a thinking partner rather than an expert who tells you what to do. Sessions are conversational, reflective, and focused on helping you build clarity, confidence, and good judgement in real situations you’re dealing with now.
Will you tell me what to do?
No — and that’s deliberate. I won’t prescribe solutions or give generic advice. Instead, I help you think more clearly, see patterns you might be missing, and arrive at decisions that feel right for you and your context. This builds capability and confidence, not dependence.
What do we actually talk about in sessions?
We work with what’s live for you. That might include leadership challenges, difficult conversations, decision-making, confidence and presence, boundaries, team dynamics, or moments where you feel stuck or stretched. We keep theory light and relevant, and focus on what will genuinely make a difference in your day-to-day world.
Do I need to prepare or bring an agenda?
Not in a formal sense. It helps to arrive with something that matters to you right now, but the session will unfold naturally. Many clients find that clarity emerges as we talk. Reflection between sessions is valuable, but there’s no pressure to “perform” or complete tasks perfectly.
Is this strengths-based coaching?
Yes. We pay close attention to what you do well, how you naturally lead, and what gives you energy. We also explore how strengths can sometimes be over-used or become unhelpful in certain situations. The aim is range and choice — knowing when and how to use your strengths most effectively.
Will you challenge me?
Yes — thoughtfully and with care. I’m supportive and warm, but I won’t avoid the harder questions if they matter. I’ll name patterns I notice, offer different perspectives, and gently challenge assumptions when that will help you move forward. The intention is always growth, not discomfort for its own sake.
Is this coaching practical, or more reflective?
Both. Reflection is important, but it’s always in service of action. Sessions often lead to small, practical experiments — a conversation to approach differently, a boundary to test, a decision to make with more intention. You don’t need to overhaul everything at once; meaningful change usually starts small.
What makes coaching with you effective?
Clients get the most value when they’re curious, honest, and willing to look at themselves with openness rather than judgement. You don’t need to have everything figured out — just a willingness to explore what’s working, what isn’t, and what you’d like to shift.
Who is your coaching best suited to?
My work suits leaders, founders, and professionals who want to think more clearly, communicate more effectively, and lead with greater confidence and authenticity. It’s especially helpful for people who value depth, practical insight, and human-centred leadership — and who are open to being both supported and stretched.
Is coaching with me right for you?
If you’re thoughtful, open, and willing to engage with what’s really going on for you, coaching becomes a powerful space to sharpen clarity, strengthen confidence, and lead in a way that feels both effective and genuinely yours.
